Valorant Online Qualifier Ruleset

Tournament Format

  1. Tournament will be double elimination.

  2. All Matches will be a Best of 3 (Bo3)

  3. Grand Finals will not have a bracket reset and will be a Best of 3 (Bo3)

  4. Rounds will proceed at the following times: Assuming a 16 team bracket actuals vary

    1. Check-In starts at 9:30 AM CT

    2. Round 1: Saturday the  at 10:00 AM CT

    3. Winners and Losers round 1: Saturday the  at 12:30 PM CT

    4. Winners and Losers Round 2: Saturday the  at 3:00 PM CT

    5. Winners and Losers Round 3: Saturday the  at 5:30 PM CT

    6. Check-In starts at 12:00 PM CT

    7. Losers Round 4: Sunday the  at 12:30 PM CT

    8. Losers Round 5: Sunday the  at 2:30 PM

    9. Losers Round 6: Sunday the at 5:00 PM

  5. The bracket will be available on the UnifiedLAN Battlefy page. https://battlefy.com/unifiedlan 

  6. Lobby.  Team Captains from each team will add each other in the game and create a lobby.  Each player will be responsible for adding their team to the lobby.

    1. Teams may have 1 coach or spectator in the spectator slot.

  7. Map Select. 
    The current map rotation is ”Ascent, Bind, Breeze, Fracture, Haven, Icebox and Pearl”  Teams will use mapban.gg to ban maps. 
    Team 1 and Team 2 will be decided by the bracket.
    Team 1 will have the selection to ban the first map in the map rotation.

Next, Team 2 will ban a map.

Team 1 will pick the first map that will be played. Team 2 will have side selection on this map.

Team 2 will pick the second map that will be played. Team 1 will have side selection on this map.

Team 1 will ban one additional map, then Team 2 will make the final ban of the map rotation.

The final map remaining will be the decider.

Team 1 will get to choose if they start on attack or defense on the decider map.

 

  1. Emergency Substitutions.  Substitute players must already be listed on the team roster. Teams may only field emergency substitutes under extenuating circumstances and with admin approval.

  2. Pauses.  Teams are allowed to pause a match if there is an unintentional disconnection, a hardware or software malfunction, or there is physical interference with a player.  The pausing team can’t resume play until they get clearance from a Tournament Operator and both Teams have signaled in all chat they are ready. 

  3. Summoner Names.  All Summoner Names must abide by Riot Games’ account policies.  Summoner names that violate Riot Games’ account policies are subject to punishment by Riot Games.  Penalties are under the discretion of a League Official.  Report all name changes to a League Official and complete the roster change form. 

  4. Post-Match Process.  The winning team will be responsible to post the match score in the discord for admins or TO’s to see.  Once Teams have reported the score, the bracket will be updated and Teams will be able to get started on their next match.

  5. Player Conduct.  

    1. Players may not collude for or against a team to present an unfair advantage.  

    2. Players must play at their full potential to retain a competitive standard within a game.  Unsportsmanlike behavior is not allowed. Friendly banter is at the discretion of each individual player, although we ask that you be understanding of jokes and fun being had. Mastery emotes or regular emotes are not considered to be unsportsmanlike behavior unless they are spammed to an overly excessive amount.  

    3. Abuse of an exploit to seek an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited. Violators are subject to penalties by a Tournament Admin.  

    4. Third-party programs are prohibited. This includes programs or devices that provide an unfair advantage or modifies the League of Legends client in any way unless approved by Riot. 

Spirit of the Rules

  1. Tournament Administrator.  Oversees Tournament Officials and is responsible for the judgments on Match-related issues, questions, and situations that occur before, during, and following Match play

  2. Tournament Official.  Responsible for the judgments on Match-related issues, questions, and situations that occur before, during, and following Match play.

  3. Finality of Decisions.  All decisions regarding the interpretation of these rules, player eligibility, scheduling and/or staging of the Tournament, and penalties for misconduct are final.   If a Tournament Official makes an incorrect judgment, the judgment can be subject to review and reversal or modification by the Tournament Administrator. Rulings can be made retroactively to help maintain the integrity of the League.

  4. Rule Changes.  These Rules may be amended or modified by the League in order to ensure fair play  and uphold the integrity of the League.

  5. Best Interests of Unified Leagues.  Tournament Officials at all times may act with the necessary authority to preserve the best interests of Unified Leagues.
