The Gauntlet: 2025 UCL OW2 Fall Championship Elite Eight

The 2025 UCL OW2 Fall Championship has reached its critical single-elimination stage. This Saturday features the Elite Eight, fighting through a rigorous bracket where every match is "one and done."

The Road to the Final Four: A Test of Compositions (10:00 AM CT)

The day begins with four high-stakes Quarterfinal matchups, each demanding map pool mastery and quick adaptation:

Bryant & Stratton College vs. Pratt Community College: The Favorite vs. The Opener. BSC's Tank must dictate the pace and survive Pratt's likely aggressive early dive attempts.

Radford University vs. University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy: The Grudge Match. The Damage (DPS) players must win the sightlines and utilize effective Flank Routes to disrupt the enemy backline.

Mount St. Mary's University vs. Pennsylvania State University Black: The Mid-Bracket Brawler. The team that tracks and effectively combos Ultimate Abilities will win the key objective fights.

Pennsylvania State University White vs. Winona State University: The Dark Horse Showdown. The team that wins the Map Pool Vetoes and forces the series onto its preferred map types gains a significant strategic edge.

Strategic Edge: Keys to Advancing

Survival on Saturday requires precise execution in these areas:

  • Compositional Flexibility Teams must demonstrate the ability to switch between Brawl and Poke compositions to counter map layouts and opponent strategies.
  • Support Survival The team that protects its Supports and ensures consistent healing and Defensive Ultimate usage will sustain team fights longer.
  • Coaching Adaptations Coaches must make lightning-fast adjustments between rounds, as the Semifinals (3:00 PM CT) begin shortly after the Quarterfinals.

Only two programs will survive the day and advance to Championship Sunday.
