Introducing a Partnership That Puts Universities First
At UNIFIED, we've been on the front lines of collegiate esports for years, and we've witnessed its explosive growth firsthand. We've seen the passion of the students, the dedication of the staff, and the burgeoning rivalries that make collegiate competition so special. But we've also seen the challenges. Many institutions are struggling to find a sustainable and profitable model for their esports programs.
That's why I'm thrilled to announce a new initiative that we believe will be a game-changer for universities looking to build and monetize their esports programs: the UNIFIED Collegiate Media Rights Agreement.
This isn't just another media deal. It's a partnership designed to empower universities by creating a new revenue stream and increasing their visibility in the rapidly growing world of esports. Our primary goal is to maximize revenue and exposure for your institution through strategic sponsorship placements and sales.
A Fair and Transparent Revenue Model
We've developed a unique revenue-sharing model that is both fair and transparent. Here's how it works: revenue generated from media rights will be distributed among key stakeholders, with the majority going directly to our member universities.
Total Revenue Distribution
How the University 60% is Split:
The "House" Share
50%
(30% of Total Revenue)
Distributed based on each university's sponsorship impressions.
The "Senate" Share
50%
(30% of Total Revenue)
Split equally among all participating partner schools.
We believe this hybrid "House" and "Senate" approach provides the perfect balance, rewarding high-performing programs while fostering a stable and collaborative ecosystem for all.
Your Role is Simple
We've designed this Non-Exclusive partnership to be as seamless as possible for your institution. Your primary responsibility is to provide us with social media and website metrics from the past 24 months, along with information about your current and past sponsors. From there, our team at UNIFIED will handle the heavy lifting of tracking impressions, distributing revenue, and providing regular performance reports. Most sponsorship fulfillment will occur through dedicated landing pages on the website we provide, requiring minimal effort from your university.
The Long-Term Vision: A Sustainable Future
This initiative is about more than just short-term financial gain. We are building a foundation for the long-term success and professionalization of collegiate esports. By creating a sustainable economic model, we can unlock a world of possibilities.
We envision a future where robust esports programs are the norm, not the exception. A future where universities can offer more scholarships, invest in state-of-the-art facilities, and provide dedicated support staff for their student-athletes. This media rights agreement is a crucial step in that direction. As we move forward, we see the potential for even greater opportunities, including the integration of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights for student-athletes, further solidifying the legitimacy and appeal of collegiate esports.
We are incredibly excited about the future of collegiate esports and the role that this media rights agreement will play in shaping it. This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking collective of institutions dedicated to building a vibrant and sustainable ecosystem for the next generation of esports talent.
This agreement is valid until June 30th, 2026. We invite you to join us in this exciting new chapter for collegiate esports.
