Six titles for 2026-2027
Three days in Indianapolis
GSL-style groups of 4 per title. Top seeds advance to Championship, bottom seeds to Challenger. Multiple competitive matches per team on day one.
Both Championship and Challenger semis across all titles. Saturday evening: community event, sponsor mixer, coach fireside.
All Grand Finals (Championship + Challenger), 3rd-place matches, and the awards ceremony on the main stage.
Why two brackets?
The Challenger bracket guarantees every team that travels to Indianapolis plays matches that count through Sunday, not just the Friday groups. Every program gets a full bracket run, a chance to win hardware, and highlights to bring home to its community.
Two roads to Indianapolis
Both tracks play the same full online season, and both end at The Clash. The difference is how you get there.
Six dedicated slots per title, and a seventh may open. Secure one and your team is going to Indianapolis. Online standings still matter: they seed your bracket at the LAN.
The same season at a much lower price. Win your online season (the league bracket, or your region's when fields allow) and you qualify for The Clash: travel to Indianapolis, or take the remote bid option and compete virtually, live during the LAN.
Every national bid is decided at The Clash. Bids to the Riot Games College Championship and the CECC (Collegiate Esports Commissioners Cup) are awarded through Clash results. Whether a team plays on stage or online, the bid comes from the same event.

Frequently asked
Each title runs at LAN only if 8+ teams commit by roster lock (teams on either track count toward the minimum). Titles short of that run online-only for 2026-2027, and registered LAN teams get a refund or credit toward another title.
Locked dates (April 16-18, 2027) and months of advance notice fit standard travel approval cycles. If the AD still won't approve, the Online Track at $350/team keeps you in the season, and if you win your online season, the remote bid option lets you compete for your bid virtually, live during The Clash.
Yes for the online regular season, where each roster registers independently. At The Clash (LAN) each university is limited to one team per title. A separate JV (Tier 2) division runs at LAN if 8+ JV teams commit per title.
